In 2004 he was USDF All Breeds awards champion for Second level, KDA's open Second level champion, with 3 highpoint awards. In 2005 he was KDA's Open Third level champion, again winning several highpoint awards. Because of his success and his incredible trainability, we decided to skip Fourth level. In 2006, he competed at the PSG level and won 3 out of 5 shows, with scores up to 68%! This past summer, 2007, he competed I-2 with two scores in the mid 60's. He was also named 2006 KDA's Open FEI Champion and 2007 Intermediare/Grand Prix Champion! In 2006, he also finished first in the country for USDF All Breeds award for PSG. If he makes it to Grand Prix successfully, he will be the only pure bred American Saddlebred in the world to score over 60%. To see a video of Harry, click on the link below. We are excited about this 11 yr old Grand Prix horse because we believe he is

"Floriano." Top quality gaits, with a phenominal piaffe and passage! Look for him this show season!

"Forty Something" owned by Jody Swimmer of Louisville, KY.
"Forty" is a 7 yr old saddlebred gelding. He has natural uphill carriage which makes him a dream to ride, along with his outstanding suspension, and super well balanced canter. Chrissa started this gelding when he was four years old, bought him from a saddleseat barn, where he had been started as a saddleseat horse. She had to re-train his way of going and basically introduce a new language. In just three years, he is currently working towards the PSG level! He will show Third level this year.
"Spezial Bryere" owned by Chrissa, is a 6 yr old Hanoverian gelding, by Slibovitz and on his mothers side is the famous, Cor de la Bryere. With the help of Alex Gerding, Chrissa imported him from Germany when he was 3 1/2 years old, with only 4 weeks under saddle. She has done all of the ground work and basics herself. "Bryere" has wonderful rhythm and balance, along with his outstanding swing! Chrissa hopes to compete "Bryere" in the FEI 6 year old class next year. With his breeding, incredible movement, and super trainability makes this horse an International hopeful! He is currently working on flying changes. Will show First and Second Level in 2008.

"I have ridden with Chrissa for going on four years now. She has made dressage not only enjoyable but understandable. She is a wonderful instructor as well as trainer. I have seen her take many unlikely prospects and turn them into amazing dressage athletes! She rides and trains each horse as an individual, no breed is unqualified in her eyes. What a positive spin on such a competitive sport. Thanks Chrissa!!!"

"Chrissa is the quintessential dressage instructor. She quickly breaks down the whole into manageable parts while directing you and your horse to the movement you are striving for. Quite simply, she will have you and your horse performing to the best of your abilities in each and every lesson.
Becoming a successful teacher of humans and animals requires many skills. The ability to communicate to both the rider and the horse is essential. Chrissa understands both you and your horses learning style. Chrissa has a quiet intensity about her teaching and training. Her instructions are precise, well-timed and accurate. She gives you the tools to work through your problem areas.
Chrissa is easy to be with and understands that riding is supposed to be fun. As a child I was told by an old horseman that a horse is either improving or going backwards. When you ride with Chrissa, you go forward. It is a privilege to be a student of Chrissa Hoffmann.
Oh, and horses LOVE Chrissa. Her beautiful seat and soft, effective hands and sweet (but insistent) personality just get horses to try hard for her. Every horse I have seen Chrissa get on, from babies to Grand Prix, give her all theyve got. Everyone just wants to do their best for Chrissa. She makes it easy for us. What more could you ask for in a sport that is always seeking the elusive "perfect ride"!

"I recently contacted Chrissa for an evaluation of my thoroughbred Grady. He and I were doing "ok", but I knew I needed help. I specifically chose Chrissa because I knew she was willing to work with "non traditional" breeds for dressage. Chrissa was so kind and helpful. She very attentively watched me "warm up", gave me some suggestions, then was willing to get on Grady and work with him. I was amazed at the change in him just from her being on him one time. I fell in love with my horse all over again. I have worked with Chrissa a limited amount of time, but I am very excited at the prospect of her helping me bring this horse along. She is positive, talented, and it has been a pleasure to work with her. It is obvious that she truly LOVES horses, and has the skill and knowledge to bring both horse and rider to their highest potential."

from Wisconsin.
"I have finally found an instructor that actually teaches the fundamental of riding a horse correctly from back to front and the importance of having the horse truly on the aids. Chrissa takes the time to explain the reasons for the aids and the proper implementation of them. Thank you Chrissa for making dressage fun, I actually look forward to my lessons."

Corrine Bradley, dressage rider and breeder
of Connemara/Crosses. Pictured here with her Reserve
Champion, "Sebastions Irish Opal."
"I have been with Chrissa for 4 years and she has helped me train 2 horses. The first was an Appendix that was doing so well many people that saw him show thought he was a warmblood. When I road a 1st level test it felt like he did it himself! The next horse Clydedale/thoro just won 2 gold medals for Prix caprilli in special Olympics. She is now helping me with a Friesian and I enjoy every minute of my lessons!!!"

"The success of Chrissa's students in the show ring is readily apparent to all
observers as her clients steadily move up the levels with correct training on a
variety of mounts. Other, perhaps more important successes, go unnoticed.
Chrissa has been very supportive in helping me learn to ride my extremely
sensitive young half Andalusian with confidence. After trying a variety of
methods, I came to understand that classical dressage as practiced by Chrissa
is truly "natural horsemanship" and that forward is the best answer to just
about everything. Tyco and I eagerly anticipate entering the ring in 2008 with
relaxation for both of us. Thanks Chrissa! We could not have done it without
you!" -Angela Hofstetter www.storyinn.com
